Let customers speak for us
from 156 reviewsThis coffee is soooo good! My normal go-to is Resonance, but Esther suggested I try this one. She was so right! It's got such a lovely velvet-y smooth mouthfeel and gives me the sensation that I'm drinking liquid joy. Truly brightens my day and brings a sliver of calm to my otherwise chaotic mornings
My absolute favorite way to make this coffee is with the Japanese iced method detailed in the Segara brew guide. Never disappoints. Kind of dangerous because I want to keep drinking it even though I can't handle that much coffee all at once.
Delicious coffee. My instant favorite.
I met Esther at Berkeley Ironworks when she was there sharing her coffee, and I really enjoyed talking with her. Her story - Berkeley connection and Indonesian roots resonated with me, and I felt an affinity for what she’s creating. She was so kind, easy to talk to, and I appreciated how genuinely she answered our questions.
I bought a bag of Resonance as a gift for a friend-loved the unique coffee names, they made the gift even more thoughtful!
Happy I happened to meet her and discover what she’s built.
Straightforward and easy, peasy, lemon squeezy!
For me, Vero is the anchor in my coffee collection. Something you want to reach for when you just want a cup of good consistent, solid cup of coffee with approachable flavors that won't have you asking any questions.
While notes are different for everyone, my notes for Vero surround a nose of vanilla wafer, honey and malt milk chocolate, a palate of heavily toasted rice, roasted barley and 90% cocoa.
Fantastic coffee! I have enjoyed it hot and iced over the hot months in Nevada. Also an excellent value to order 2 lbs at a time on subscription. Very happy to support this business.
Fast shipping and fulfillment with USPS delivery, which drops off easily in my building
Treehouse is beautifully light, floral, and citrus-y. Perfect in my pour overs and drip preparations.
I usually gravitate toward richer coffees, but this completely changed my mind about lighter roasts. It’s bright, clean, and incredibly refined without being acidic or harsh. The flavors are subtle but memorable, and it’s one of the most enjoyable cups I’ve had in a long time.
What impressed me most is how balanced this coffee is. You get the deep chocolate foundation, a subtle brightness, and a clean finish that lingers without bitterness. It’s obvious a lot of care went into sourcing and roasting these beans. Outstanding coffee. Great as a cold brew as well.
Great choice for a daily brew!
The Indonesia story makes this coffee feel special.
The founder story is amazing.
So far so good! I enjoyed the hand written note! Hope to get more of those.
It's pretty good! I use it with my Aeropress as a drip coffee, and for milky latte's. Yes I make espresso drinks. 😎

From soil to soul
Great coffee starts long before the roast.
We source specialty Arabica coffee exclusively from Indonesia—a category still rarely represented in its full diversity in the U.S.
We work directly with multi-generational farms, where soil, cultivar, climate, and processing all leave their mark on the cup. These relationships bring us closer to the land and the people growing our coffee, and allow us to seek out exceptional coffees that rarely reach the U.S.
Our coffees grow within diverse agroforestry systems, surrounded by other plants and trees rather than in coffee monocultures.
Better coffee starts at the source.
For homes and partners
Segara is designed for those who care how things feel
