About This Coffee

Treehouse is our light-roast single origin from Flores, Indonesia—and one of the coffees that best captures why we started Segara.

Delicate florals rise from the cup alongside citrus and honeyed sweetness, carried by an exceptionally even acidity. There's plenty of brightness, but no sharp spike. Instead, it moves smoothly across the palate before settling into a soft, delicate finish.

It's a flavor profile many coffee drinkers might expect from origins celebrated for their floral, high-clarity coffees, such as Ethiopia.

We found it in Indonesia.

Indonesia has a powerful coffee identity. Its coffees are often associated with deeper, earthier, heavier profiles.

Treehouse tells another story.

Here in Flores, we found a coffee with delicate floral aromatics, beautiful citrus, honeyed sweetness, and an extraordinary quality to its acidity: brightness without sharpness.

We roast Treehouse lightly to preserve those qualities rather than covering them with roast. The result is clean, delicate, and remarkably expressive.

These are characteristics coffee drinkers often associate with origins famous for floral, high-clarity coffees, including Ethiopia.
